Class Descriptions
Each class we form a temporary community, like a flock of birds deciding to fly together for a short time moving and breathing as one. Below are the classes we offer at BlueSky Yoga, you decide where you want to fly.
Vinyasa Flow
Vinyasa is defined as a continuous series of postures synchronized with your breath. This Multi-Level class is energetic yet mindful, designed to release myofascia in the body and strengthen the body through improving mobility. This dynamic practice leads students through a sequence of poses that strengthens and lengthens the body while emphasizing alignment. Practitioners can expect sun salutations, standing and balancing postures, core work, and seated postures.
This class is open to all levels of experience, modifications and props will be provided to meet individual needs. This class is open to students of all levels, but it is recommended that students new to yoga start Thursdays or Saturdays to get oriented with the class flow.
Rise & Shine Yoga
A Mulit-Level Vinyasa style class that is a as much a mindful flow as it is the perfect stretch for Any-Body. Vinyasa is a style of yoga that strings poses together in connection to the breath in a repetitive pattern. A moving meditation where you can set aside your plans for the day and realign to the present moment. Includes Hot Tea, making this express 45 minute yoga practice perfect for any morning routine. Practitioners can expect simple stretches, sun salutations, standing and balancing postures, core work, and seated postures.
Gentle Yoga
Participate in a slower pace, less intense practice that synchronizes movement with breathing. Focusing on relaxations and stress relief, perfect for new to yoga and those looking for a mobility focused practice. This class includes more warm up movements, mindful setup of gentle postures, and the poses are held for longer times to improve flexibility. Modifications and props are offered to help people of all fitness levels enjoy the benefits of yoga by making poses more accessible to all body types. There is a stronger emphasis on stretching, seated poses, and low-impact movements.
Gentle Restorative Yoga
Enjoy the best of a Gentle yoga class and a Restorative class, walk away feeling amazing! Mindful movements with emphasis on alignment are offered at a slower pace creating a gentle experience. Restorative poses are held longer & will be offered throughout the class making this class a powerful addition to your weekly routine. Athletes will benefit from the longer holds and more space to deepen basic yoga poses. If building mobility and reducing stress is your goal this class is an essential part of your weekly routine!
Restorative Yoga
The class focuses on poses that promote relaxation and restoration to help relieve the effects of chronic stress, as well as, common aches and pains in the body. This practice is set in a soothing environment with soft music.
The use of props and individual modifications will provide gentle openness to the body with the use of breathwork (pranayama) to deeply relax in poses. These restful postures require minimal effort and are held for several minutes, allowing the body time and space to deepen and soften. Embrace profound peace, rejuvenation of the body, mind, and spirit in this practice. This class is beginner friendly and appropriate for all levels.
Happy Hour Flow
This Vinyasa inspired class will focus on building strength, relieving stress, and breath to help you let go of your week. An end-of-the-week experience that will leave you with a smile on your face! The multi-colored lights will fun, the popular music, and energy high! Plan to workshop a pose that will challenge you in a way that makes you giggle. The class is designed to be a community oriented, fun, flowy start to your weekend.

Stretch & Center Flow
This calming, therapeutic practice aims to release the stresses of life through a slow and nurturing practice. Suitable for beginner and experienced yoga practitioners, this class will lead you through postures and breathing to help you stretch and center yourself. Experience relaxation and calmness of the body mind and spirit in this 45 minute express class.
